Description:
This battery back up unit is used to provide a back up protection should the car battery fails to provide the energy needed to run the system. VDS system is designed to provide continuous support even if the car that it is installed in stops operating normally. In those rare circumestances where the car battery runs out of charge and the system is armed to monitor and provide support, the system has the ability to switch to its battery backup and continue normal operation.
This battery backup device is NOT included in the VDS Starter System. To ensure continuous operation of the system, add one to your system.
